Professional permanent salon hair toners might damage your hair and if you don't like the effect, it's very hard to get rid of it without ruining your hair completely. Product washes easily off most fabrics but I recommend using protection and gloves. For short hair it should last for 4-5 uses, for medium 3-4 and for long 2-3.
